Total Remodel
The kitchen design showroom we use made the original plans. But we worked with the design showroom to get our customer in Drexel Hill the best possible kitchen remodel design for the available space. They would draw up a design and the owner and the contractor could then offer amendments to the design. We went through this process on 4 times.
Kitchen Design Process
I want you to understand that kitchen design is a process. We as contractors know what our customers want because we listen to them to hear the preferences. There are differing reasons why we as kitchen remodeling contractors recommend another design alternative. We stay at it until we’re sure the customer has the best possible design for their space.
Keeping the Job-site Clean
This kitchen remodeling project in Drexel Hill involved gutting everything and starting with bare walls. Also the 200 sq ft of existing ceramic flooring had to be removed. This was necessary to allow the beautiful new design to unfold.
We were going to do a lot of demolition so it was decided to tape shut the doorways and block the heating vents. Our customers appreciated that we kept the rest of their home dust free. Then we moved into the installation phase.
Kitchen Installation Planning
We began the project by evaluating the kitchen design drawings, supplied by the kitchen remodel design showroom in Drexel Hill, to ascertain the exact placement each of the cabinets. Some of the cabinets required spacers to one side or the other to allow room for cabinet doors to swing open. A similar evaluation was necessary to allow the dishwasher door to swing down.
The base cabinets have to be perfectly level so that the granite counter-top won’t eventually crack. The most accurate way to level the cabinets is with a laser level. We installed the kitchen, through ever stage, with the exact same attention to detail.
Finishing Kitchen Details
After that we added crown molding on top of the 36 inch high wall cabinets and light bar molding beneath them.
Additionally our customer asked for luxury vinyl blank flooring, same as the adjacent living room floor. We had to assure that the sub-floor was at the exact same height to the floors would line up perfectly.
Customize Built Cabinets
Finally we finished the kitchen with a breakfast nook set including 2 benches and a table between. These were handmade by our talented carpenters so they exactly fit into the 6 ft by 6 by nook area.
